This is the week to “laugh your ACK off” as top comedians from around the country come to our island for the Sixth Annual Nantucket Comedy Festival. The festival opened Wednesday, July 17, and continues night and day through Saturday, July 20. As of press time, tickets are scarce for Thursday’s “Night of Funny Women” and for Saturday’s “Comedy SmACKdown.” There’s still room at both Friday events: “Women, Coffee, and Comedy” and “The Humor and Comedy of The Simpsons.” Seats are also still available for Saturday’s “Inside the Comedy Writers Room,” with Mike O’Malley, Dick Cavett, Donick Cary, Peter Farrelly, and Mike Reiss.
