LatarteThe temperatures have risen and summer has hit the island fast and furious this year, with sunny skies and warm weather that is just begging for swimsuits, dresses, and sandals that will keep you cool and looking good at the same time. Soon the calendar will be full of beach BBQ’s and poolside soireés and there is no better place on Nantucket to keep you looking stylish, on and off the sand, than Letarte.Letarte

Letarte was established twelve years ago by sisters Michele Letarte Ross and Lisa Letarte Cabrinha, when they realized a need in the market for a swimsuit that was functional, fashionable, and original. Their bikinis tops and bottoms are sold separately, so you can be sure to fit your body type. The label has grown through the years to include an extensive range of cover-ups, tunics, dresses, a cashmere collection, lotions, and a line for girls ages 2-14 years. The store opened its doors on Nantucket three years ago, and prior to that they were selling to the top boutiques on the island. Their casual but chic style is perfect for island living, and their pieces can be easily worn to the beach or to a party.
