Wearing Summer Colors

No need to think of pearls as only for elegant affairs—The Nantucket Pearl Company has just introduced a new line of pearl bracelets in fun summer colors that are perfect for day-to-day.

Dubbed The Hilly, these beautiful bracelets are sold in colorful sets of three for just $38. The pearls are casually irregular in shape and range in size from 6 to 8 mm. The beautiful shimmering colors include light pink, hot pink, aqua, light blue, bright blue, navy, yellow, mint, green, and white. They’re perfect for matching summer fashions.

The Hilly bracelets are in a limited edition run, and owner Judi Hill does not expect them to last long, especially at this price! Head right over to Hill’s of Nantucket at 40 Straight Wharf—the island home of Nantucket Pearl Company—before they run out.

Plotting a New Course

The Seastreak Whaling City Express is now providing seasonal passenger ferry service between New Bedford and Nantucket, delivering passengers to their destination in under two hours.

James Barker, Seastreak President, said he is delighted with the New Bedford-Nantucket ferry connection. “It is an indication of our continuing growth in the level of service we provide and a renewal of the historical relationship that exists between the island of Nantucket and the Whaling City. Our passengers can avoid the stress of sitting in Cape traffic, and Cape roads are relieved of traffic congestion during the summer months.”

John Silvia, Seastreak GM, added “We are pleased with the Steamship Authority’s decision to allow the expanded service. The schedule allows travel round-trip in one day… There are special island resident, senior, and child fares available, and customers can book reservations directly on the Seastreak website.”

The new route offers two weekday trips Monday-Thursday and three weekend trips Friday-Sunday, and will operate through September 6.
