The Distinguished Young Women’s organization is presenting a “Midnight Rodeo” – featuring Dalton & the Sheriffs, opening acts Jeff Ross and Jamie Howarth, door prizes, a silent auction, a Chinese raffle and 50/50 – to garner community support and ensure the success of the 2015 DYW season.
The fundraiser will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 beginning at 6:30pm at the Chicken Box and $20 at the door will get you in! Opening with two separate local acts Jeff Ross and Jamie Howarth beginning at 7pm. Taking the stage at 9pm, Dalton & The Sheriffs: Call it Boston country. Call it accidental country. Call it what you will. Dalton & The Sheriffs is a band from Boston, that believes that the line between three-chords- and-the-truth and down-home, country honesty has blurred beyond the point of distinction. They are positioned to share their music, one song at a time, to one person at a time, through every small town bar and stage in New England. The Nantucket Branch of Distinguished Young Women is thrilled to have them so come get your Midnight Rodeo fix and support a strong Nantucket tradition of scholarships.
