Saturday, September 26 is the last day for Pick- Your-Own farm-grown cherry, beefsteaks, heirloom tomatoes at Bartlett’s Farm (9 am to 2 pm), but it’s not the last day of autumn fun at the farm!
Bartlett’s Fall Workshops have just started: every Friday and Saturday through autum from 9 am to 2 pm, join Bartlett’s staff for Pumpkin Painting, Fall Wreath making, and family activities that include cornhole, coloring sheets, and a bubble station. The fee for Pumpkin Painting is $5 per person, and comes with a mini pumpkin for painting. The charge for wreath-making is additional. The Pumpkin Painting and games are geared for ages under 10, but everyone is welcome; no reservations are required.
While you’re at Bartlett’s for their fun on Fridays and Saturdays, stop into their shop for a delicious specially priced lunch. During September, the Friday Special is Rodeo Burger with a side of fries and the Saturday Special is Fried Chicken with Mac & Cheese. Plus, their Farm Made Kitchen & Bakery offers delicious dinners to take home and heat up and a tempting array of desserts.
Bartlett’s Farms Wines & Rinds tastings also continue through fall, offering free samples of wine and cheese pairings every Friday from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. Bring a notebook and get a jump on your holiday planning!
In October, Bartlett’s Farm Talk series starts again on Saturdays at 10:30 am. On October 3, Brandon Jellison of Lavender Farm Wellness will discuss and demonstrate different types of massage to promote relaxation of the body and mind.
Joann Burnham of Dharma Yoga will teach breathing, flowing movement, and meditative styles on October 10. And on October 17, Sheri Perlman will talk about 26 “safety energy locks” along energetic pathways that feed life to our bodies.
On October 24, Dr. Tammy Belanger of Island Acupuncture will discuss how integrative wellness utilizing both Western Medicine and Eastern Medicine can help determine the best care.
Obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. Tiffany Blake- Lamb will discuss women’s health, aging bodies, and hormone treatment for women on October 31.
