September 12 is the deadline to enter our 2026 Nantucket Photo Contest. For more than a quarter century, this popular contest has been a fun way for residents and visitor to share their images of Nantucket Island. Any season, any view, any time period (we love the old photos), serious or silly are accepted, as long as the photo was taken on Nantucket. You might even win one of the cash prizes. Winning photos and many deserving honorable mention will be shared with our readers in our Autumn Edition of Yesterday’s Island/Today’s Nantucket, which hits the stands on September 24, 2026. They will also be posted on Nantucket.net and on YesterdaysIsland.com after the print edition is published. The 2025 winners and entries can be viewed now at yesterdaysisland.com/photo-contest
To enter, email your photos—high resolution only—to ackphotocontest@gmail.com and include your name in each filename (please do not send us images with names like IMG_001).
If you choose to use snail mail to mail in your entries on a thumb drive, be sure to include the form at nantucket.net/photo-contest-entry and send them to YI Photo Contest, P.O. Box 626, Nantucket, MA 02554. Entries must be postmarked by September 12, 2026. Photos received later will be entered in the 2027 contest.
