A Magical Concert on Jetties Beach

Nearly 30 years ago, a small group of volunteers joined forces to create a very special event for Nantucket Cottage Hospital. Led by Kathryn Clauss, Nantucket Cottage Hospital Board of Trustees members Margaretta Andrews and Charles Balas, and others, they brought the hospital community together to raise funds and popular support for their idea of bringing the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra to Nantucket for an outdoor concert.

The annual Boston Pops on Nantucket at Jetties Beach has grown to be one of the most popular summer events on our island, and it still directly supports the operations of Nantucket Cottage Hospital.

This Saturday, August 10, the 27th Boston Pops on Nantucket event again features conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops on Tour. They will be joined at Jetties Beach by special musical guest Super Diamond. Featuring Surreal Neil, Super Diamond exhilarates audiences with an uncanny tribute to beloved master singer-songwriter-performer, American pop icon Neil Diamond. Best-selling author and island resident Elin Hilderbrand will host the event. A drone light show will cap off the event at approximately 9 pm.

Pack a picnic, bring chairs and beach blankets, and be ready to enjoy worldclass entertainment on the beach with friends and family!
