The Holiday Season is upon us and Nantucket residents can take a tour of the beautifully illuminated homes across our island. Nantucket Visitor Services is sponsoring the 9th annual Island Tour of Lights. Nominate your house or vote for a favorite house lit up and decorated for holiday season! Starting Friday, November 28, ballots will be available at Nantucket Visitor Services located at 25 Federal Street or online at www.nantucket-ma.gov/visitor. Voting ends Friday, December 19 at 12 noon, but you can still use the map to see the lights through Christmas. Last year, the competition was fierce. The winner won by only 1 vote! Who will win this year? Remember the ultimate Island bragging rights are at stake. The winning house will be announced after Noon on December 19 online via Twitter @nantucketbuzz and @nantucketnews as well as on www.nantucket-ma.gov/visitor and Nantucket.net.
Starting in early December, a Map of nominated houses, including the winner will be available at the Visitor Services office at 25 Federal Street.
The Tour of Lights will continue thru the Nantucket New Year’s celebration, December 28 – January 3.
