The Artists Who Create Paintings & Pearls

For more than 40 years, Greg and Judi Hill’s springtime return to the island has been very much a part of Nantucket’s seasonal reawakening. Old friends and new stop by their gallery on Straight Wharf to welcome them back to their home on Nantucket, to chat about their exciting winter travels, and to see Greg’s new paintings and discover what new items Judi has designed for the shop.

This weekend and next, Greg and Judi Hill will celebrate the season with free raffles and a festive gathering. With a nod to the 25th annual Nantucket Wine Festival, they are raffling off a set of Pearl Wine Charms, perfect for every party. Stop by 40 Straight Wharf through May 21 to fill out a raffle entry (no purchase necessary): the drawing will be held on Monday, May 22.

While you’re at the G.S. Hill Gallery on Straight Wharf, you can also enter their Memorial Day Weekend Raffle. The prize in this drawing is a stunning Seaglass and Pearl Necklace with a scallop shell charm made by the Nantucket Pearl Company. Entries will be accepted to 5 pm on Monday, May 29, and the winner will be drawn on Tuesday, May 30.

Sunday, May 28, visitors can meet Nantucket artist Greg Hill and jewelry designer Pam Freitus from 10 am to 5 pm at the G.S. Hill Gallery’s Paintings and Pearls Open House. This is a rare opportunity to meet these two artistic and creative people at the same event. Stop by 40 Straight Wharf on the 28th to see what’s new and to raise a glass to the 2023 season.
