Hostetler Gallery presents the unique work of Art Werger, leading American master of mezzotint and aquatint, which are old world techniques used to create modern images. Subjects are drawn in a realistic manner but are often observed from an unusual angle, placing the viewer into an active relationship with the subject through various forms of narrative engagement. On Friday, August 2 from 5-8 p.m., drop by Hostetler Gallery at 42 Centre Street to see Werger’s work and to meet the artist. This show will focus on his underwater youthful bathers, aerials of New York City, and story boards.
