One of our island’s most anticipated summer traditions returns on Saturday, August 8, when Jetties Beach is transformed into an extraordinary waterfront concert venue for the 29th annual Boston Pops on Nantucket. This favorite community event will feature the renowned Boston Pops on Tour with special musical guest Yachtley Crew, the Los Angeles-based sensation affectionately known as the “Titans of Soft Rock.”
For nearly three decades, the Boston Pops on Nantucket has drawn thousands of residents and visitors to this beach for an unforgettable evening under the stars that combines world-class music with island philanthropy. This concert has become one of the signature events of the Nantucket summer season while raising vital funds to support year-round healthcare services at Nantucket Cottage Hospital.
Tickets are on sale now at nantuckethospital.org: $30 for adult general admission and $10 for ages 5 to 12. Children younger than 5-years-old are admitted free of charge. Sponsorships and Reserved Seating tickets may still be available.
Under the baton of acclaimed conductor Keith Lockhart, the Boston Pops on Tour continues its tradition of presenting dynamic performances that span classical favorites, Broadway hits, film scores, patriotic selections, and popular music.
This year’s musical guest, Yachtley Crew, offers a unique musical experience that reflects both the elegance of the Pops and the carefree spirit of a Nantucket summer evening. The yacht rock band’s energetic performances celebrate the smooth sounds of the late 1970s and early 1980s. With impeccable musicianship, signature nautical attire, and crowd-pleasing renditions of classics made famous by artists such as Hall & Oates, Christopher Cross, Kenny Loggins, Toto, and Michael McDonald, the seven-piece band has become one of the country’s premier yacht rock acts. Their appearance alongside the Boston Pops creates an exciting blend of orchestral excellence and feel-good nostalgia that is sure to have audiences singing along and dancing from the first note to the finale.
The concert begins at 7 pm, with gates opening at 4:30 pm, giving attendees time to settle in on the beach with family and friends before the music begins. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, beach chairs, and picnic dinners as they enjoy one of the island’s most picturesque settings. The event’s relaxed atmosphere has long made it a favorite tradition for generations of Nantucket families and seasonal visitors.
All tickets must be scanned by security staff at the entrance gate. You may show your confirmation code on your smartphone or bring a printout of your confirmation email that shows your code. All ticket levels are non-refundable and there is no rain date for this event.
Food and drinks are not available for purchase at the event. As you pack your picnic, remember: all alcoholic beverages are prohibited; no glass bottles are allowed; beach umbrellas including canopies and shade structures are forbidden. Security staff will perform contactless bag checks at the entrance gate.
Also: leave all pets other than certified service animals at home. Drones and flying devices are prohibited as are all firearms, explosives, and weapons of any kind (including pocketknives, pepper spray, fireworks, etc.).
The parking lot at Jetties Beach is not open during the concert, and nearby parking is extremely limited. On Saturday, August 8, North Beach Street will be open to motor traffic for concert drop-offs only (at intersection of North Beach Street and Bathing Beach Road). Hulbert Avenue, Bathing Beach Road and the dirt portion of Charles Street will be closed to traffic on Saturday, August 8. Free bike parking is available near entrance at Bathing Beach Road, but bicycles are not permitted inside the concert area.
Handicap accessible shuttle service is available to accommodate General Admission guests who need wheelchair accessibility and special assistance. Two companions can ride the shuttle service with the elderly or disabled guest. Transportation on the shuttle must be pre-arranged by calling the Nantucket Cottage Hospital Development Office at 508-825-8250 .
Connie Anne and Jeremiah Harris are co-chairs for the 2026 event and bring extensive expertise in media, fundraising, and event production to this year’s concert.
