A Play to Warm Your Heart

Elin Hilderbrand’s Winter Street

On Tuesday, November 26, the curtain goes up on the Theatre Workshop of Nantucket’s encore presentation of the stage adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand’s Winter Street series.

Back by popular demand, this heartwarming production by TWN’s Justin Cerne is faithful to Hilderbrand’s vision and writing. “Justin has done a brilliant job of combining all four Winter Street novels and creating a play that is engrossing, funny, heartbreaking and filled with the best emotion of the season…wonder,” Elin commented. “Perhaps the most important character is the island where the play is set which is, serendipitously, where the play is being performed. This play is of Nantucket, on Nantucket, and for Nantucket.”

Elin Hilderbrand’s Winter Street follows the Quinn family through several seasons of holiday magic, punctuated by weddings, insider trading, births, deaths, ex-loves, new loves, and old ex-loves. Mostly, this is a story of love—deep, passionate, kind, requited, unrequited—so much love that it hurts and yet makes you feel full and warm.

On stage this season through December 8, Elin Hilderbrand’s Winter Street shows sold out last year, so get your tickets now at theatrenantucket.org, and celebrate the season with The Quinns and the Theatre Workshop of Nantucket
