Savor Springtime During Restaurant Week
Enjoy special pricing and unique menus at dozens of Nantucket dining establishments during the first ever Spring Restaurant Week, continuing through this Sunday, June 7.
The island's culinary scene is home to renowned chefs and award-winning restaurants, many noted by Wine Spectator, Zagat's, Best of Boston, Fodor's, Frommer's, and James Beard Award nominees.
Participating restaurants are offering special Restaurant Week menus that feature three-course prix fixe dinners priced from $25 to $45. This is the perfect week to visit your favorite eatery and to try some place new—at these prices, you can afford to dine out more than once during the week!
Nantucket Restaurant Week was first organized by Jenny Garneau in the fall of 2006, sponsored by N Magazine. Over the four years this event has been held, more restaurants have joined, and a special fundraising Gala and Junior Chef Competition have been added to the slate of events. This year is the first that a spring week has been included, and participating restaurants have designed enticing menus to celebrate the culinary arts here on our island. Several of the participants, such as American Seasons, RopeWalk, Topper’s, Black-Eyed Susan’s, and Even Keel are featuring several of their patron favorites for Restaurant Week. Others, like Oran Mor, Galley Beach, Arno’s, and Fifty-Six Union are offering some new dishes not on their regular menus.
Spring Restaurant Week 2009 is sponsored and organized by N Magazine and the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce with support from Bartlett's Farm, Plum TV, and Pellegrino.
The fourth annual Fall Restaurant Week will be held on Nantucket from September 28 through October 4, and will feature an opening gala on September 27 and the second annual Nantucket Junior Chef Competition on Sunday, October 4.
