Adapting to a New Reality on Nantucket Island

UPDATED ON APRIL 20, 2020

Nantucket is an island of small businesses, all using their ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit to keep going during social distancing and the current climate of uncertainty.

Merchants are relying on online sales and curbside delivery until their shops open, service companies are selling gift cards and taking their classes online, and eateries are offering takeout with delivery. A number of nonprofit and community organizations are reaching out to island residents with lessons and entertainment.

Here is a list of Nantucket companies and organizations you can help keep afloat by patronizing during these challenging times, along with some who are offering ways to help entertain and teach you during these weeks of social isolation and self-distancing.

Some of the options below are using Zoom. If this program is new to you, you will find a tutorial here.

We will update the list as we get more information. If you have suggestions for additions, please email us at yi@nantucket.net

Stay well!
