On Wednesday, February 18, Nantucketers can enjoy the music of The Walden Chamber Players and help feed their neighbors when they attend the Music for Food Concert at 7 pm in The Dreamland Studio Theatre, 17 South Water Street.
The musicians of the Walden Chamber Players will present a chamber music program of music for strings by Mozart, Schoenberg, and Beethoven to benefit the Nantucket Food Pantry. Tickets are available at the door: Minimum suggested donation is $10 (goes to buying CSA shares for the Pantry) OR 4 cans hearty soups, stews or beans. Seating is limited.
This concert is presented as part of the Walden Chamber Players’ Chamber Music ACK music residency program. Chamber Music ACK is an educational initiative, designed by the Walden Chamber Players and the Nantucket Public Schools, to bring classical chamber music to the students and year-round community of Nantucket through a long-term, in-depth artist residency.
